Our Location

Creative Minds International Public Charter School is located in the historic Sherman Building on the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) campus, at 3700 North Capitol Street NW.

The Sherman Building, located next to Lincoln’s Cottage, offers our students a spacious and bright learning environment. In addition to classrooms with tall ceilings infused with natural light, our facility includes numerous spaces for individualized and small-group instruction, a sensory room on each floor, a gymnasium, two music rooms, and a grand hall for community events.

There are two entrances to the campus:

Harewood Gate: 60 Harewood Road NW
For Creative Minds Families, Drivers
Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m.–9:30 a.m.
Monday–Friday: 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

Eagle Gate: 140 Rock Creek Church Road NW
For Visitors, Walkers, and Bikers, and When Harewood Gate is Closed
Open at All Times

Parking for families and visitors is available in Lot 5. Please see our campus map in English or in Spanish for more information about entering, exiting, and parking.
